Whereas America's nuclear power industry is in decay, with increasing number of holes,
cracks, and assorted other malfunctions plaguing nuclear reactors nationwide; whereas President Bush has freed America's nuclear power industry from unnecessary safety
regulations to help it recover and one day repair this damage; whereas America's nuclear weapons programs are mostly old and outdated; whereas President Bush has started exciting new programs to develop "tactical nuclear
weapons "—"bunker-busters " and "mininukes "—while cancelling shortsighted treaty obligations
that have prevented this in the past; therefore we, the undersigned, support the Bush Administration's positive approach to nuclear
issues and reject the Democrats' negative one. |
